1.2.2.1. This event is held under the supplementary regulations (SR) and any additional supplementary regulations (ASR) issued by the organizers, under sanction by Colombo Racing Club (CRC).

1.4. Description of the Event
1.4.1. A Drag Race. A drag race is a sprint from a standing start between two vehicles over a measured distance. The distance is approximately 402m. The winner is determined by who crosses the finish line first without a foul start. These contests are started by means of an electronic device or a Flag. Upon leaving the starting line, each contestant will compete against the other in a parallel lane and stop when the same vehicle passes the finish line.

3.3. Allowances and Restrictions for Classe
3.3.1. Sharing Cars/ Bikes is NOT PERMITTED among drivers.
3.3.2. Drivers/ Riders are allowed to compete in maximum of TWO classes per car/ bike only.
3.3.3. Cars MUST be entered first in their respective cubic capacity division and may take part in a further “OPEN CLASS” “OR” “ONE EVENT ABOVE” only.
3.3.4. Drivers may compete in up to THREE Classes in total in different vehicles.
3.4. Conditions for Acceptance & Refusal of Entries
3.4.1. The organizer reserves the right to cancel or combine classes which have less than 8 entries. However, in case a class has less than 8 entries, ONLY the winner will be determined and awarded based on the timings on qualifying day and will not be classified to run the knockout stages. All entries received will be considered by the organizer on the class suitability of the car and competitor. Incomplete entry forms will be deemed invalid entry. All entries must be submitted by the closing date. No late entries will be accepted.
3.5. Entry Submission
3.5.1. Online Entry will be published on www.crc.lk
3.5.2. You should have a valid driving license to submit the entry.
3.5.3. Attendance is mandatory for the Drivers’ briefing. All Valid entrees will be informed about the schedule and venue of the briefing.
4. Scrutinizing
4.1. All cars must comply with the Technical Regulations – Appendix G.
4.2. Throughout the entire duration of the event, the cars must comply with the Technical Regulations – Appendix G at all points.
4.3. Any car, which, after having passed scrutineering, is damaged, must be re- presented to the Scrutineers after repair and be approved to be allowed to continue.
4.4. Scrutinizing of a vehicle is merely to check the safety of a vehicle and not the conformity to ‘Technical Regulations – Appendix G’. The onus of a vehicle conforming to ‘Technical Regulations – Appendix G’ lies solely on the competitor.
5. Format of Drag
5.1. Knockout ladder will be done based on the FIA format.

7. Promoters & Organizer Rights
7.1. The organizers may abandon, cancel or postpone the meet or any part thereof. In this event, the competitor has no right to claim against the Organizer or Promoter in respect of any loss or expense he/ she may thereby incur.
7.2. Distribute the awards based on intermediate results at their discretion if through bona fide unforeseen circumstances, the competition is stopped before its completion.
7.3. Exclude any vehicle whose appearance, condition or performance is not of a standard appropriate for the competition.
7.4. The Clerk of the Course of this meet has the right to stop the race or any driver immediately due to any unavoidable circumstances or as the case may be.
7.5. Competitors or any organization will have no right to claim against the Organizer or Promoter for any expenses incurred or losses suffered through the exercising of these rights by the Organizer or the Promoter. Additional Supplementary Regulations will be published from time to time to inform of any changes in the Sporting and Technical Regulations.
8. Paddock, Parking & Crew
8.1. Please refer to Appendix i for track layout.
8.2. There is no claim on a special paddock areas and parking areas. Access and allocation of areas will be made upon instruction of the officials and their instructions must be strictly respected.
8.3. It is the responsibility of each competitor/team manager to ensure that team members are fully conversant with all paddock rules. Any contravention by any team member may entail the exclusion of the team from the race.
8.4. Speeding and practice start/ launching is totally prohibited in the pit lane. The speed limit is 20 km/h that must be respected all the time. Anyone found speeding in the pit lane, paddock & parking will be excluded from the meet. Entry fees will not be refunded. The Organizers reserve the right to penalize or disqualify a driver found to be exceeding the speed limit.
8.5. Smoking, drinking of any alcoholic beverages or intoxication by any other means (e.g. narcotics) is strictly forbidden anywhere in the competition area including the pits. Respective competitors will be reported to the organizing committee for further actions if found guilty of such actions.
8.6. No crew is permitted on the drag strip at any time without the permission of the Clerk of the Course.
8.7. The organizer reserves the right to refuse entry for any member of a pit crew into the strip, pits and paddock and all areas under its jurisdiction.
8.8. Each competitor will be entitled to THREE (3) pit passes comprising of 1 competitor and 2 crew. These passes must be presentable to an official at any given time.
8.9. Each competitor will be entitled to TWO (2) car pass which is for the competitors non-competing car and competitor’s competing car.
8.10. No spectator car or any other form of vehicle that does not have a paddock car pass may be parked in the paddock, dummy grid or staging area. Any such vehicle found in the paddock of any team will be reported to the Stewards of the Meet for penalty up to exclusion. Illegally parked vehicles will be towed away at the owner’s costs. Spectator cars are only eligible to be parked at the designated spectator parking areas.
8.11. No motorized bicycle or skateboards is allowed within the paddock.
9. Protests
9.1. No protests will be entertained. Genuine claims will be the decision of Clerk of the Course.
10.Results
10.1. Results of each batch of runs will be available via the app Chrono Pulse which is available both in Apple and Android. Anyone who wishes to check the results can go through it via the app.
11.Interpretation of Regulations
11.1. Only the Clerk of the Course can give binding information about the event, or in his
absence, his deputy.
11.2. In the case of any dispute, the interpretation of this Sporting & Technical regulation, the Additional Supplementary Regulations is up to the Clerk of the Course.
11.3. Organizer reserves the right to modify or supplement the present regulations if considered necessary for reasons of safety, force major or by order of the authorities or to cancel the event in case that extraordinary circumstance should arise, without any obligations for indemnification.
12.Advertising
12.1. The main sponsor of this event is: TBD
12.2. Advertising is permitted on cars and competitor’s apparel including helmets, overalls and jackets, provided that the placing of such advertisements in no way obscures or affects the legibility of competition numbers. The Organizer reserves the right to remove or obliterate, any advertisement that they consider in bad taste or conflicts with any of the event sponsors. The Organizer will indicate the positioning of sponsors decals and these decals shall not be placed anywhere else. If this space is not made available, the Organizer reserves the right to remove or obliterate any existing decals to attach the decals of the meet sponsors.
12.3. Advertising of Event Sponsors: It is mandatory to paste on the competing car, all stickers provided by the organizers.
12.4. Competitor’s advertising: Must not contain inappropriate messages or images. Organizers’ reserve the right to remove any banners or advertising found on the competing car.
13.Code of Conduct (COC)
13.1. Participants must adhere to a high standard of sportsmanship and respect towards fellow riders, officials, and spectators.
13.2. Any form of unsportsmanlike behavior, including verbal abuse, physical altercations, or dangerous riding, will not be tolerated and may end up in disqualification or a suspension or ban from racing.
